Zacharia Facaros, DPM
Dr. Zacharia Facaros obtained his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 2003. He then attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York, New York where he graduated in 2007, Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. He underwent a 3-year residency training at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center in Fountain Valley, California, gaining a comprehensive background in foot and ankle non-surgical and surgical care involving reconstructive procedures. He sought further training completing a one-year fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio focused on diabetic foot and ankle reconstructive surgery, Charcot deformity correction, plastic surgery techniques and correction of advanced deformities. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He has lectured and co-authored articles and book chapters, his expertise including Foot and Ankle Trauma, Sports Medicine, Soft Tissue and Skeletal Reconstruction of the Diabetic Foot & Ankle, Diabetic Charcot Foot & Ankle Reconstruction, Revisional and Post-Traumatic Foot & Ankle Surgery, External Fixation & Orthobiologics.
Dr. Facaros enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, sports and taking in the beach life with his wife and daughters.
