Paul LaFata, DPM, FACFAS
Paul C. LaFata, DPM, FACFAS, is a native of Berks County. He is a graduate of the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. LaFata has completed four years of post-graduate training in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery at Community Medical Center , a level 2 Trauma Hospital in Scranton, PA. During his fourth year of residency he was chief surgical resident. During these four years Dr. LaFata trained with world renowned surgeons in the US and Greece in the latest techniques in the correction of foot and limb deformities. Dr. LaFata continued his education with residency studies of limb deformity in Athens, Greece.

Dr. LaFata has retuned to Berks County to provided the best foot and ankle care to all its residents. He treats both children and adults with a wide range of problems, such as diabetic and arthritic foot deformities, flatfeet, bunions, hammertoes and various skin disorders. Due to his intensive training, Dr. LaFata has a special interest in metatarsal and toe lengthening.
Dr. LaFata has published several articles and lectured nationally and internationally. He is currently on the staff of The Reading Hospital and Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Medical Center. He serves as an advisor to the William L. Goldfarb Foundation, the scientific arm of the Pennsylvania Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. LaFata works closely with the Pennsylvania Foot and Ankle Society and contributes to the training of foot and ankle surgeons in the United States.
Dr. LaFata is board certified in foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is also an active member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
