Dr. Patel was born in India and raised in New Jersey. He attended Rutgers University, NJ and graduated with a bachelors degree in biology. He then worked as an EMT for 2 years and went back to school to earn his doctorate at New York College of Podiatric Medicine. While in school, he was a recipient of Jonathan Robertozzi Memorial Scholarship for academic excellence and community service. He completed 2 medical mission trips to India and Mexico while in his junior and senior years. After graduating from podiatry school, he completed his residency program at St Barnabas Medical Center in NJ in podiatric medicine and surgery with an emphasis on forefoot and rearfoot reconstructive surgery.
