Michael Subik, DPM, FACFAS
Dr. Subik is extensively trained in Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery, as well as Diabetic Limb Salvage.
Having been trained by some of the world leaders in foot and ankle care, he has brought that expertise to Bergen, Hudson and Passaic Counties. Dr. Subik has been in practice since 2000, and has been an integral part of the training of over 30 residents at some of the most respected Northern New Jersey hospitals. In 2013, Dr.Subik founded and plays an active role as Director of The Northern Jersey Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Fellowship. It is highly sought after program, as it is only one of 19 Podiatric Fellowships in the country. He educates and trains doctors from across the country on the newest foot and ankle surgical techniques.
Dr. Subik serves as Director of the Section of Podiatry of St. Mary’s Hospital, as well as the Medical Director of the Advanced Wound Care Center of St. Mary’s. He serves as the Director of External Rotations of St. Marys Reconstructive Podiatric Residency, a leading training center in Northern New Jersey. He also is a Line Item Reviewer for the National Board of Podiatric Medical Examiners, a Board Examination for All Podiatric Medical Students.
Dr. Subik focuses on salvaging a limb, utilizing the most advanced technology, including Illizarov External Fixators, Hybridized Fixators, and Skin Flaps and Grafts. He is one an elite number of surgeons trained on “Inbone” / “Inbone Prophecy” Total Ankle Replacement, which can restore lost motion in the ankle joint. Dr. Subik is also certified and extensively trained on the “STAR” and the “Salto Talaris Total Ankle Joint Replacements”.
