Daniel Tucker, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Tucker is an experienced, board-certified foot and ankle surgeon, and a Fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons. He received his medical degree from The New York College of Podiatric Medicine, graduating magna cum laude, and completed an extensive 3-year residency in traumatic and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at Hoboken University Medical Center in New Jersey. He served as chief resident during his final year of training.

oscopy and treatment of osteochondral lesions of the talus, traumatic/fracture surgery and the treatment of lower extremity complications from diabetes and limb salvage. Dr Tucker also has expertise with Lapiplasty®, the newest technology in bunion surgery, and with advanced joint salvage procedures for painful great toe joint arthritis.

Prior to relocating to the Memphis area, Dr Tucker was the director of a well-regarded traumatic and reconstructive foot and ankle fellowship program at Kaiser Permanente in Atlanta Georgia. Fellows in Dr Tucker’s program participated in an intense 4th year of training in advanced foot and ankle surgical techniques. Dr Tucker is now only one of a few foot and ankle surgeons in the Memphis area who performs total ankle replacement surgery for patients with disabling ankle arthritis.

Dr. Tucker is a member of the Fellowship Committee for the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons, which oversees and helps to develop the most advanced podiatric foot and ankle surgical fellowship programs in the country. He is the author of several peer reviewed journal articles, and is a peer reviewer for the Journal of Foot & Ankle Surgery. Dr Tucker serves as a consultant for orthopaedic industry, and has lectured nationally at numerous scientific and educational meetings.

Although well versed in all facets of foot and ankle surgical care, Dr Tucker will only recommend elective surgery when traditional means of conservative care have failed to relieve pain or other debilitating symptoms that interfere with patient’s daily activities.

New to the Memphis area, Dr Tucker is a strong patient advocate, and utilizes the latest evidence-based techniques available for the treatment of foot and ankle problems. He believes strongly in patient education and partnering with his patients to provide the best care possible. Dr. Tucker enjoys cycling, golfing, live music, southern cuisine, and spending time with his wife and children.
