Joshua Vest, DPM, FACFAS
Dr. Vest is originally from Wichita, Kansas and graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Gustavus Adolphus College in St Peter, MN. He then completed his medical training at Des Moines University, obtaining a doctorate degree in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in 2008.
Dr. Vest’s residency training was completed at Wayne State University – Detroit Medical Center, which includes Detroit Receiving Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Michigan; both of which are level-one trauma centers. Comprehensive training in podiatric surgery, trauma surgery, pediatric injuries and reconstructive surgery was completed during his three year residency program. Dr. Vest has advanced training in treating conditions of the ankle, including ankle joint replacement. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
In 2014 Dr. Vest was appointed to a four year term on the Nebraska Board of Health by Governor Dave Heineman and he continues to serve the people of Nebraska as an active board member. Dr. Vest is also the current Department Chair of Podiatric Surgery at Bryan Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Through his training and experience, Dr. Vest learned both conservative and surgical management of all aspects of foot and ankle pathology. Dr. Vest has been published in major medical journals and continues to pursue podiatric research. From preventative medicine to foot and ankle trauma and reconstruction, Dr. Vest is committed to improving your foot and ankle health concerns. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Nebraska Podiatric Medical Association and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons
