Dr Caponigro earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology at St. John’s University. He received a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed a two year residency in Podiatric medicine and surgery at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, an academic affiliate of Weil Medical College of Cornell University. He then completed his training in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery in New Jersey. He has been in private practice since July, 2000.
