Dr. Murphy graduated from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine (formerly the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine) in Independence, Ohio, and completed his surgical residency at Westview Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Murphy has been in Georgia now for almost 20 years.

In 1998, Dr. Murphy began his private practice in Waycross, Georgia. Since then, he’s enjoyed relieving pain and enhancing foot and ankle functioning and general wellness for his patients.
Dr. Murphy is an expert in diabetic foot care and treats a range of foot and ankle conditions, such as ankle sprains, bunions, calluses, flat feet, hammertoes, diabetic feet, arthritis and joint disease, heel or toe spurs, and plantar fasciitis. He provides digital X-rays, patient education on healthy lifestyle changes, medications when needed, and many other effective and personalized services.
He currently has surgical privileges at Satilla Regional Medical Center in Waycross, Georgia, Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup, Georgia, Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia, and Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Georgia.
Dr. Murphy goes out of his way to provide high quality and individualized podiatric care. He enjoys working in a multi-physician practice and the comradery and team-building that comes along with it. Ankle & Foot Associates, LLC, also gives his patients the benefit of second opinions.
Outside of the office, Dr. Murphy enjoys family time with his wife, Christa, who’s also originally from Canada, and his three cherished daughters. Dr. Murphy and his family take part in different sporting activities from biking to fishing, and he might even sneak onto the golf course to immerse himself in one of his favorite pastimes.
