Cerise Adams, DPM

Dr. Cerise Adams was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. As a first-generation American, one of the most important attributes her parents instilled in her was hard work and perseverance Dr. Adams attended Clara Burton High School for Health Professions in Brooklyn to begin her educational path towards a career in medicine. She gained honors and recognition in Biology and Chemistry.

Following high school, Dr. Adams matriculated into Fordham University with a BA in Natural Sciences and a concentration in pre-medicine. She shadowed many types of physicians during her summer breaks however she was most attracted to the field of podiatry. Dr. Adams graduated from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia and later went to St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx for residency, a level 1 trauma center where she completed four years of training and rose to the level of chief resident during her final year. Dr. Adams received surgical training at St. Barnabas, Empire Surgical Center, Westmed Medical Center in Rye, and St. Catherine of Siena Hospital in Smithtown New York. She is well trained and confident in rendering podiatric care involving diabetic foot care, routine care, wound care, limb salvage, dermatological conditions of the foot and ankle, nail surgeries, and surgical procedures involving soft tissue and osseous abnormalities in the forefoot, ankle, and rearfoot including reconstructive surgical procedures.

Dr. Adams is a proud member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, American Podiatric Medical Association, American Society of Podiatric Surgeons, and the New York State Podiatric Medical Association. She is diplomate and board-certified with the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM).
