Vanatius Babila Tita, DPM

Vanatius Babila Tita, DPM, is a graduate of the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Ohio. After completing his doctoral degree, he fulfilled a 3 year surgical residency training in foot and ankle surgery at Mercy Regional Hospital/Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Prior to earning his DPM degree, Dr. Tita earned three bachelor’s degrees, including a microbiology degree from the University of Buea, Cameroon, a biology degree from Eastern New Mexico University, and a nursing degree from Touro University in Nevada. Dr. Tita joined Southwest Austin Foot & Ankle Clinic in 2021.

an active surgeon and podiatric hospital consultant. He also provides podiatric care for a variety of skilled nursing and assisted living facilities in the greater Austin area.

Dr. Tita is exceptionally well trained in foot and ankle surgery, specializing in trauma, foot and ankle reconstruction, sports medicine, diabetic limb salvage, conservative and surgical management of foot deformities. Dr. Tita also treats a wide variety of foot and ankle pathologies ranging from ingrown toenails, chronic and acute injuries, bunions and hammertoes. With a focus on conservative care and minimally invasive surgical techniques, Dr. Tita provides a systemic approach to treatment with a focus on patient satisfaction and pain resolution using the most efficient and effective methods available.

Having lived all around the globe, Dr. Tita is thrilled to settle down in Austin, where he can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities and be close to his family. In his free time, Dr. Tita enjoys being active, including playing tennis, mountain biking, and spending time with family. As a former collegiate soccer play, Dr. Tita especially enjoys playing soccer in the local league in Austin.
