Dr. Bob Baravarian is a Board-Certified Podiatric Foot and Ankle Specialist. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and one of only a handful of foot and ankle surgeons to have both foot and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle certifications as a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
He performed a comprehensive three-year residency at the University of Pittsburgh with an emphasis on sports medicine, reconstructive surgery, foot, and ankle trauma, and diabetic limb salvage. He then joined the podiatry group at UCLA prior to opening University Foot and Ankle Institute.

Dr. Baravarian has been involved in athletics his entire life and played competitive tennis in high school and college. He has an interest in sports medicine, arthritis therapy, and trauma/reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle. He serves as a consultant to the ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) tour, multiple running organizations, and several shoe manufacturers. He is also fluent in five languages (English, French, Spanish, Farsi, and Hebrew).
