Dr. Aakruti Bhalja, DPM was raised in New Jersey and attended Rutgers University. She completed her bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, nutrition and psychology. Throughout college, she was involved in volunteering at local hospitals, nursing homes and traveled overseas to participate in service work. She then received her doctorate from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where she gained extensive knowledge of all aspects of the lower extremity. During her time there, she was involved in a service trip to Kolkata, India which served the local underprivileged diabetic population.
