Originally from Portage, Michigan, Dr. Braaksma is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in the foot and ankle and general orthopedic fracture care. Additionally, he is an expert in a variety of nonsurgical and surgical foot and ankle treatment options, including the Lapiplasty® 3D Bunion Correction™ Procedure. Dr. Braaksma is board certified for the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is an active member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Braaksma scored in the 99th percentile on his Orthopedic In-training Exam.
When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Braaksma enjoys reading, playing basketball, running, traveling, fishing, and spending time with his wife, their son and daughter along with their black lab.
