Dr. Joseph Bui was born and raised in San Diego. He completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at San Diego State University. He then went on to complete his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. Subsequently completing an extensive 3 year Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital. During his residency training he was exposed to a wide range of pathology from limb salvage, trauma and reconstructive surgery. He is currently board qualified with American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He values the importance of patient and doctor collaboration. Evaluating each patient independently and developing a care plan that works best for the patient. He has always lived by the motto of treating patients like family.
In his free time, he enjoys traveling, trying different cuisines and spending time with family and friends. He has a passion for sharing and exploring cultures. He speaks fluent Vietnamese which has allowed him to travel and participate in medical mission trips to Vietnam.
