Ross Chapel, M.D., is a board eligible Orthopaedic surgeon with Rio Grande Comprehensive Upper Extremity Center in McAllen, Texas. Dr. Chapel began his medical studies at University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, TX, and went on to complete his internship at Greenville Memorial Hospital in South Carolina. He then completed his orthopedic surgery training at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center, where he developed interest in upper extremity surgery. He then went on to complete subspecialty training in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and an additional fellowship at Florida Orthopaedic Institute in shoulder and elbow. Dr. Chapel is board-eligible by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Chapel is known for using cutting-edge technology and minimally-invasive procedures to achieve the best possible outcomes for his patients and their families. The practice specializes in upper extremity trauma, sports medicine, hand, shoulder, ankle, and foot surgery. When not treating patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife Katy and children. He enjoys golf, fishing and working out. He currently welcomes new patients and referrals.
