Dr. Rick C. Chen joined Family Foot and Ankle Physicians on August 1, 2012 after completing a three-year comprehensive foot and ankle surgical residency at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut. In his final year of training, he served as the Section Chief Resident. While at Yale New Haven Hospital, Dr. Chen received extensive training in Charcot foot and flatfoot reconstruction utilizing the latest internal and Ilizarov/external fixation surgical techniques. He is well versed in various plastic surgical techniques in the treatment of chronic diabetic ulcers and trauma induced wounds.
