Joshua Epstein, DPM, AACFAS, FACPM, is a dual board-certified, fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon at North Florida Foot & Ankle Specialists, serving people of all ages at two convenient locations in Gainesville and Lake City, Florida.
Dr. Epstein was born and raised in Florida. He spent many summers at his grandfather’s property in Live Oak and cherishes the North Florida community.

The following year, Dr. Epstein entered the prestigious College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa, and earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine.
Before entering private practice, Dr. Epstein completed a three-year surgical residency at Westside Regional Medical Center in Plantation, Florida, with a focus on total joint replacement and complex reconstruction. He was named Resident of the Year by his peers, an award that exemplified his educational and surgical proficiency.
Dr. Epstein also completed a 12-month fellowship in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at Westside Regional Medical Center. During the course of the program, he had the opportunity to work with renowned orthopedic and podiatric surgeons utilizing the latest technologies and surgical skills.
As a podiatrist, Dr. Epstein has special interests in foot and ankle reconstruction, minimally invasive surgery, and sports medicine.
Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr. Sarina Epstein, and their son, Jordan. They enjoy exploring the Gulf Coast and visiting popular Florida springs.
