David Gelbmann, DPM
Board-certified podiatric physician and surgeon David Gelbmann, DPM, specializes in treating all ailments of the foot, ankle, and leg at Gelbmann Podiatry, with two locations in the Near Southside and West Town neighborhoods of Chicago, Illinois. He has a special interest in the healing of complicated wounds of the lower extremity, the treatment of chronic foot and leg pain, and sports medicine.
Dr. Gelbmann graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with dual degrees in molecular biology and biology before attending the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. He is a surgical attending physician and is on staff at Northwestern and Weiss Memorial Hospitals. . In addition, he has published several papers and is a three-time participant and author in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons Scientific Literature Review. He is on staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Weiss Memorial Hospital.
In his free time, Dr. Gelbmann enjoys running, playing softball, and spending time with his wife and young children. He also volunteers yearly in the medical tent at the Chicago Marathon and other running events in the Midwest.
