Dr. Mark Gerig specializes in the surgical and medical treatment of the foot and ankle. He is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and has extensive training in the most current surgical evidence based treatments of the foot and ankle. He takes a conservative approach to treating patients, with surgery recommended as the last resort.

Dr. Gerig graduated from Midwestern University in Arizona and completed a 3 year surgical residency at Presbyterian/VA Hospital/Kaiser Foundation in Albuquerque, NM. This residency has added training for reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery. He is the only 3 year surgically trained Podiatrist in Amarillo.
