Dr. James Head is a native of Arkansas, born and raised in Heber Springs. He attended the University of Central Arkansas for his undergraduate education and the University of Arkansas for his medical degree.

Dr. Head’s professional training in orthopedics includes his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Oklahoma. Residency training was followed by a fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa. After completing his residency, he moved back to Arkansas to join Conway Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Clinic.
