Janelle Maravelias, DPM, provides patient-centered podiatric care to the community of San Carlos, California, at Bay Area Foot Care.
Dr. Maravelias was born and raised in the Bay Area, only leaving the area to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State University and her Master of Science degree in Medical Physiology from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
She earned her doctorate at the California School of Podiatric Medicine in Oakland and completed her surgical residency training at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco. During her residency training, she specialized in trauma, limb salvage, and elective foot and ankle surgery.

In her free time, Dr. Maravelias enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and her large Italian extended family. She loves soaking up the California sun biking, wakeboarding, and snowboarding. Dr. Maravelias has two Labrador retrievers and enjoys hiking with them or taking them to the dog park. She is a San Francisco Giants superfan and rarely misses a game.
