Dr. Jim Maxka graduated podiatric medical school from the Midwestern University School of Podiatric Medicine in Glendale, AZ, earning his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. Prior to graduating, he taught for over 15 years at Northern Arizona University and Carnegie Mellon.  After finishing podiatric medical school, Dr. Maxka went on to complete his podiatric residency at the University of Pennsylvania in 2014.  He also completed a research fellowship in podiatric medicine and surgery in 2015.

Dr. Maxka is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in foot and rearfoot surgery.  He is affiliated with UPMC Pinnacle Hanover.
