Dr. Menendez is a board-certified Podiatric surgeon specializing in foot surgery. He performs elective foot surgery for a variety of disorders including bunions, hammertoes, and tendon and skin lesions. He also treats Diabetic foot conditions and sports related injuries.

Dr. Menendez earned a Bachelor of Arts from Trinity College (CT), and a Master of Architecture degree from Carnegie Mellon University. He found that he enjoyed working with his hands and had a great desire to be of service to other people. He attended 3 semesters of pre-med at University of Maryland, Baltimore County at which time he also worked as a phlebotomist and anesthesia tech at Shock Trauma in Baltimore. School of Podiatric Medicine. His residency training in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery was completed at St. Francis Central Hospital in Pittsburgh where he served as chief resident in his final year. Dr. Menendez has been serving the Sussex County, Delaware community since completing residency training in 2000. He has been included in the ‘Top Doc’ listing by Delaware Today magazine multiple years, most recently in 2022.

Dr. Menendez is a native of Towson, Maryland with family roots on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. He and his wife, Jill, have raised three children in their adopted home state.

Dr. Menendez operates at the Lewes Surgery Center and is also a member of the department of surgery at Beebe Healthcare. He is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a member of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Menendez is committed to comprehensive and appropriate surgical and nonsurgical foot care and is accepting new patients in the Lewes, Millsboro and Ocean View locations.
