Alicia Mooty, DPM
Dr. Alicia Mooty was born and raised in Shelby Township, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. She graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology and a minor in Mathematics. She received her doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. Dr. Mooty then completed a three-year surgical residency program at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, Pennsylvania under Dr. Guido LaPorta, a world renowned surgeon in treatment of complex foot deformities.

Dr. Mooty also completed a two-month rotation at the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. She takes special interest in management of Charcot Deformity, trauma, sports medicine, and orthopedics, though she is capable of addressing and taking care of all foot and ankle conditions.
When not working at the office, Dr. Mooty enjoys traveling, hiking and camping, and exploring Richmond with her dog, Frankie. Dr. Mooty was a division 1 student athlete while at Michigan State University, as a member of the Women’s Rowing team.
