Jose Ponce, DPM, a California native, was born and raised in San Luis Obispo. He completed his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from UC Davis with an emphasis in neurobiology, physiology and behavior, and a minor in Spanish. Dr. Ponce completed his medical school training at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, after which he moved back to California where he finished his residency in podiatric medicine and surgery at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center and affiliated hospitals where he was trained in reconstructive foot, rearfoot and ankle surgery, as well as limb salvage and management of problem lower extremity wounds.
