Dr. Santrock, a nationally known foot and ankle surgeon and respected researcher. Following his undergraduate and medical school education, as well as his residency at West Virginia University, Dr. Santrock attended fellowsip in foot and ankle surgery at Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Center in Columbus, Ohio, training under Dr. Greg Berlet and Dr. Tom Lee. A native of Morgantown, West Virginia, Dr. Santrock spent ten years as the chief of Foot & Ankle Surgery in the Department of Orthopaedics at West Virginia University, as well as associate professor in the WVU School of Medicine. Dr. Santrock has a special interest in hallux valgus (bunions), and is the co-inventor of the Lapiplasty® 3-D Bunion Correction System. His extensive research in this area has led to improved patient outcomes and expedited recovery. Dr. Santrock also has significant interests in patient-specific instrumentation, and weight-bearing CT imaging.
Dr. Santrock is active in academics, research and industry innovation. He is frequently published for his involvement in research and often speaks at industry conferences and seminars. He has produced several book chapters and is an active member of the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
