Kaitlyn Sharpe, DPM

Dr. Kaitlyn Sharpe is joining our team of doctors and staff at Foot Healthcare Associates in Livonia, Novi, and Southfield.

Dr. Sharpe obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Michigan-Flint in 2013. From a very young age, she knew medicine was her field of passion. She enjoyed and excelled in all science and biology classes throughout school and was a volunteer at Crittenton Hospital during her undergraduate years. She obtained her doctorate at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, IL. During that time, she worked for a local podiatric foot and ankle surgeon where she learned the basics of patient care in a clinical setting.

She has successfully completed advanced ...

surgical and medical training during her residency at Ascension Providence Hospital in Southfield and Novi, MI. Her training included a wide variety of forefoot and rearfoot reconstructive surgery, as well as diabetic limb salvage. Her dedication to excellence, clinical experience and residency training has allowed her to develop excellent surgical skills, judgment, and compassion for the patients she cares for. She was honored to be named Chief Resident during her final year of training.

Dr. Sharpe believes in clear and open communication with her patients. She takes the time to educate patients completely about their condition so that a real partnership develops in obtaining the best possible results. She advocates for conservative treatment when possible and recommends surgical intervention when necessary.

Dr. Sharpe is excited to stay in her home state of Michigan and to service her community. She graduated from Brandon High School and her family continues to reside in the area. She enjoys outdoor activities such as running and biking, as well as spending time with her family. She also loves vacationing along Lake Michigan in the summer and enjoys going to Tigers games.
