Tarak Amin, DPM, AACFAS, FACPM

Dr. Tarak Amin is a fellowship-trained foot & ankle surgeon that is board-certified and specializes in advanced rearfoot and forefoot reconstruction, flat foot correction procedures, cartilage repair, sports medicine, arthroscopic ankle surgery, complex foot and ankle trauma/fracture repair, total joint replacement, bunion correction, minimally invasive surgery and other non-surgical treatment options.

Dr. Amin is from Blountstown, Florida and a graduate of the Florida State University with a B.S in Exercise Science in Tallahassee, Florida. In 2018, he graduated with his medical degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, PA and began his 3-year Podiatric Medical and Surgical Residency training ...

with the added credential of Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle surgery at Westside Regional Medical Center in Plantation, Florida. He served as the chief resident during his final year of residency training.

Upon his completion of residency, Dr. Amin further refined his training in the subspeciality of foot and ankle by completing an optional fellowship in Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery at Westside Regional Medical Center. This was a dual accredited surgical fellowship program, where he worked alongside the most renown podiatric surgeons and orthopedic surgeons in the country. Dr. Amin gained extensive and collaborative training skills from both fields of advanced foot & ankle surgery, in order to better provide surgical and non-surgical care to his patients. During fellowship training, Dr. Amin, served as team physician for selected Broward County High School Varsity football teams both on and off the field for all foot and ankle sports medicine pathology.

Dr. Amin has pursued graduate medical research including Achilles tendon injuries/Innovative repair techniques, bone grafting in the lower extremity, and foot/ankle fractures. Lectured on topics such as stress fractures of the foot & ankle and current concepts in Total Ankle Replacement. Published/authored in journals on foot & ankle topics ranging from fractures to 3-D implant use for 1st MPJ arthrodesis.

Outside of work he enjoys golf, college football, traveling, and spending time with his fiancée’ and family.
