Find A Trained Lapiplasty® Doctor
An important first step is to find a trained Lapiplasty® doctor to consult. Both qualified orthopedic surgeons (MDs) and podiatric surgeons (DPMs) utilize Lapiplasty® 3D Bunion Correction™ in their practices. It is important to note that the Lapiplasty® Procedure requires advanced training and not all doctors offer the Lapiplasty® Procedure. Some doctors may tell you that they “do something similar” but, we recommend that you use our Find A Doctor page to find a true Lapiplasty® user.
Consultation & Evaluation
During your initial clinical exam, your doctor will x-ray your foot to determine the severity of your condition along with any other conditions. Your doctor will determine the health of your bone stock and will ask you questions about your general health to determine if you are a candidate. Your doctor will answer questions for you about the procedure so that you feel comfortable as to what to expect in terms of where the procedure will take place, insurance coverage, how to manage post-operative pain, and what to expect in terms of key recovery time points.
The Lapiplasty® Procedure can effectively treat bunions — mild to wild.
